Because it is important to get involved, because it is absolutely necessary to help each other!
I am a patient myself, diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in 2004. So, I am personally aware of the challenges that cancer may pose. I use all my energy and free time to help those in similar situations, regardless of the type of neoplasia. In addition to daily work, I have organised, within my Association, a series of local activities to support cancer patients and have participated in various educational and informative campaigns on cancer, the necessity and importance of regular medical examinations and prophylactic measures. As vice-president, I have been involved in the annual organisation of the MIELOPRO conference, which contributes both to increasing the patient’s knowledge about their illness but also to ensure friendship and support between the participants.  And last but not least, in the loving memory of my cancer–defeated father, I would like to contribute, regardless of effort, to the fight against this terrible disease.
